Mount Carmel College Bangalore was established in 1948 with the motto of ‘Empowering through Education’. One of the first colleges established in the state of Karnataka for women, Mount Carmel college is a pioneer in promoting education for women. The college offers more than 60 undergraduates, postgraduate and doctoral programs. Affiliated to Bangalore University, the college successfully completed three rounds of Accreditation by NAAC and was awarded an A in the third round of accreditation in 2012. Mount Carmel College holds the distinction of being one of the top 20 colleges in India and has been a recipient of the CPE (College with a Potential of Excellence) recognition by University of Grants Commission.


The admission into Mount Carmel College for any program is based on merit. The applicants must have completed the 10+2 level or equivalent from any recognized educational Board for applying for an undergraduate program. Applicants aspiring to pursue postgraduate program must have completed a Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of study. The College has started 4-year integrated B.A-B.Ed and B.Sc-B.Ed programmes offering dual degrees to students in the span of 4 years.

Mount Carmel College Bangalore Fee Structure

Mount Carmel College Fee structure varies depending on the study program chosen by the applicants. The details of fees payable for the current academic year for various programmes offered by the College will be available with the administration office at the College. Students can opt for the loan facilities available with a few Banks that have a direct tie-up with the College. The college charges a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- for undergraduate programmes and Rs. 700/- for postgraduate programmes.

As per the Mount Carmel fee structure defined, the total fee payable for the entire duration of the program is fixed by the College at the commencement of the academic year. For example, Mount Carmel College Bangalore fee structure for B.Com will be fixed for the three years of the programme duration. The cut-off marks required to be eligible for admission is different for students from Mount Carmel and for students who are non-Carmelites. Mount Carmel Fee structure will also vary based on the % of marks obtained by the applicant. Students with a high score of marks in the last qualifying exam could become eligible for a scholarship offered by the College.

Mount Carmel College Bangalore BCom fees will be payable by the applicant on the day of the personal interview conducted by the College for admission confirmation. The fees once paid will not be refunded by the College under any circumstances.
